So I’m lame for not posting yesterday. But I felt obligated to at least let you all know why I didn’t post. Well, today is my birthday and as such, my weekend has been a bit insane. Yesterday I spent 8 hours at my favorite (and only acceptable) tattoo studio in southern Wyoming (big shout out to Skibos Tattoo and Chris F’N Haley). I went into the studio hoping for a simple, shoulder tattoo and somehow got talked into a half-sleeve. It was definitely not planned and it definitely hurt like a bitch. But it was worth it! So while Wil is bragging about actually posting on time, I’m going to do the opposite. Unfortunately, other work has me bogged (or should I say blogged). Anyway, I do have something for you all to see. And it IS comic related. 

If you’re unfamiliar with video games, a Mortal Kombat vs. DC game is being released. As anyone familiar with Mortal Kombat knows, one of the staples of the game is the Fatality system. So without further adieu, I bring you “The Joker’s” fatality. (make sure to skip to near the end of the video).

Xombi. Zombie. Same thing. I know, I know…I always read about zombies. I can’t help it. And when I bought this comic, I wasn’t even sure if it would be a traditional zombie theme and so far, the first issue of the series is pretty interesting.

The reader is introduced to a doctor dabbling in nanotechnology. The doctor, who’s named David, hires a hot new assistant that he’s got a thing for, despite the fact that he has a fiancée. Anyways, the doctor dude is visited by very strange beings which I can only describe as mummy-aliens. They kind look like how I imaging the alien from the Aliens movies would look if it was dressed up like a mummy for Halloween. For an example, check out my scanned pic above of the front page of the comic. The eerie little mummy-aliens are right on the middle of the top. I don’t know how else to describe them and they creep me out a bit. (more…)

Ah the overly religious types always mess things up in the woods. I don’t care what the author meant, but this looks like a thinly veiled attack at Mormons and their loads of wives. Granted the Mormons, while not the most normal of sorts, dont strangle their 13 year old wives in front of a satanic portal.  The usual ass kicking girl saves the day, how cliche these days.  This is really a shame because most of the ass kicking girls in movies arn’t that memorable and are usually subjected to poor scripts and terrible plotlines.

so my internet is just now up and working today.  we’ve had some crazy, wet weather today and for some reason, i had no internet all day long.  but don’t fear!  i’ll be up bright and shiny tomorrow to write you all a post.  thanks for bearing with me and my technological difficulties!

So as you can see the site is developing some very slow changes. A few more tweaks and things will be looking even better. I will return on Wednesday for another not-so-holy adventure into Original Sins. Stay tuned for Dalton’s post tomorrow.
