Hellblazer #6: Extreme Prejudice

Although this is more of a gimmic comic than anything, I found it more enjoyable after seeing its compadre in the future, Green Street Hooligans. If you ever thought to yourself, “Hey, I’d really like to see Frodo get the crap kicked out of him over futbol”, that movie is a must see. If you are a normal rational person and don’t want to see a crappy fake badass movie, it is not for you. But both the comic and the premise of that movie share a common bond, much like the bond of the three (four?) headed Neo-Nazi demon.The idea of course is that Europeans care so much about their futbol (soccer for you Yanks) that they get tattoos of their favorite teams and kill each other in street brawls just to prove their team is better. 

Shit like this is exactly why we left England in the first place, they are so involved with their intralameness that they cant even see outside to how dumb they look.  Luckily you can easily foil European demons by questioning their alliance to any futbol club and pitting them against each other.  Anyway so after all this demon construction and general hatred, the ESPN Medusa tears itself apart. The issue felt like I found the secret to beating a video game boss the cheap way.  Hopefully next issue actually ties something together in this meandering plot line of weirdness. I would really enjoy getting back to stories of John watching a good friend get eaten alive or horribly mutilated. That would do the trick.
