I will admit it; I'm not much of a comic book reader, but I thought both Hellboy movies were freaking amazing. They were totally bad ass, and I think that an overwhelming amount of people can appreciate the many aspects that made it bad ass (while at the same time having never really gotten into the comic) like for example the digital effects, the transformation of actors into really cool looking beasts and monsters, the cinematography, the storyline, the big name actors, and that Del Toro did not stray from the dark yet humorous setting that is Hellboy. Far too often a comic book movie will be followed by a sequal that is crap (Spiderman), but that was not the case with Hellboy.
