WWH: Gamma Corps Issue #3
Writer: Tieri
Art: Ferriera

I’m getting to the point where this is slightly driving me nuts. This story is still building up, and there is one issue to go. This better be a pretty amazing climax because it’s been pretty dull so far. The last two pages were cool, but isn’t that a little late to finally start getting some action in a HULK COMIC!? Sorry, but I’ve grown to expect smashing in my Hulk, and there is very little smashing in here. Oh, and for you interested if there was any more shift + number swearing in this comic: yes, there is plenty more of it. Maybe I just read too many comics that get away with swearing. Are all A comics written like this? I don’t read too many of them. I don’t remember Ultimate Spider-man having this, and I think that was “A.”

Now for a fun imagination exercise:

For today’s exercise, I want you to picture yourself as someone (such as the Hulk) who can smash whatever the fuck he wants. My question to you is what would you most like to smash?

I think if I were given the choice, I would probably smash a restaurant chain that acts like they serve some sort of food with a national identity. I’m sick of people thinking that these places serve food actually like where they are inspired by. Just as Taco Bell is not authentic Mexican food, neither is Olive Garden authentic Italian, or is Outback authentic Australian food. I’m not saying they have bad food. Of course it tastes somewhat decent, but the point is that ignorant America thinks it’s what food really tastes like in the country from which it came. In fact, these restaurants are actually really smart because they realize people are dumb enough to believe their pseudo-cultural experience. So I guess I should really just be smashing the people who would choose Olive Garden over some priced-the-same, red and white table cloth, independently owned Italian Restaurant. But smashing people wouldn’t be that nice (and less satisfying), so the restaurant chains will get the raw end of the deal.

Oh yeah, and Wil didn’t post yesterday because he was busy creating a program to make life easier. So he’s excused. Tune back in on monday, and he’ll be back in action.
