Today I was ruffling through my stack of potentials and then the sky fell out, rain style. So I figured I should go with some water themed deal, lo and behold, I found something just to fit outside. I’m not quite sure if the whole “Sub Mariner” thing is supposed to be a pun or what. Maybe it’s just literal and thats all there is to it.
Anywho, this storyline was moist with betrayal from a lost son (?). Dad’s, if you have a kid you lost track of a few years ago, make sure you either go out and try to reunite with him, or brace for some crazy retribution action. As usual, I had a few questions about the whole deal.
First is why wouldnt the kid try and find Namor earlier. Hes the friggen king of the ocean and whatever, it’s not like hes some secret force in the shadows, more than likely you’d know where to look him up in the phonebook. Hes your dad, at least have the common decency to make an effort towards finding him.
This also reminded me that I really need one of those cool GPS navigation devices to, you know, find my father or something. But also because I suck and get lost frequently. But I digress. This series sounds important, but I’m not interested. Not dark enough for my taste, or actually the taste that I am developing you could say. Relating to my last post, I managed to catch Constantine on TBS or something over the weekend, which reaffirmed my appetite for those demons/darkly themed storylines. Everytime I watch that movie it seems like they just cut giant chunks out of the story in order to make it fit in a movie. That’s really too bad, although at least they didnt jump straight into a threequel. Either way, Im finding the Hellblazer series soon and reading the crap out of it. Bam.
