To be honest I’ve never read a comic before. It would be a stretch to say I’ve even seen one in real life, for all I knew they could have been invented in movies. So, there would have to be a lot of barriers broken to get this show on the road. Specifically me going to some sort of comic book store. I scoped it out, checked here and there, finally found some hippie-ish shops, that seemed like it would have something wacky and creative. That they did as long as you liked mushroom candles and multi-tubular vases. I had to keep going though, because Dalton would bitch at me incessantly if I could not find some comic to write about.

That bitching in the back of my mind drove me to do something I swore I would not do again, go to a trading card store. I’m not talking about your sissy baseball cards here, or maybe I am, but the focus of these stores were tabletop games such as Magic The Gathering and other life draining activities. I walked in, and diverted my eyes from anything resembling human, even the 6 foot tall cardboard cutout of a horned devil creature mouse/moose? I went straight to the back and found the glory I was looking for, cheap and worn comic books.

Now I cant tell the difference between the Fantastic Four and The Watchmen, but I could tell the difference between multiple quarters and a single quarter. Plus cheap things are always of good quality. I clutched a handful and did the ground-stare as I made a beeline for the counter. I could not identify the store clerk in a lineup against 5 tribal-dressed Native Americans if my life depended on it, but I certainly got my stuff and got the hell out of there.

But seriously, I just ordered some off Ebay.
